Filmmakers represented at the 5th Boston Film Night

Kevin Anderton
is the organizer of Boston Film Night and the drive behind Midnight Chimes Productions. He
has created over eighty short films that have been viewed over 25 million times and has helped to promote the Boston film scene.

George O'Connor from Lazy Horde Productions has been a part of the Boston film scene for over 8 years and wriggled his way into 70+ films. He’s current projects include second season of tthe web-isode series 664-The Neighbor of the Beast and his punk rock band, Viper Rash. By day, he’s a mild-mannered copywriter for Digitas.

David Kornfeld lives in Massachusetts with his wife & cat, as well as rather too much media. He dislikes bios, so this is as far as it goes. You should be especially nice to David since he's also in charge of projection for the festival.

Mick Cusimano, your professor of Surrealism has produced a series of over 30 short movies called Rooster Tails. Mick wanted to be @ Boston Film Night but is showing his movie The Dreams of Leonardo da Vinci at the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner in May.

Mike Messier is a SAG Actor, having worked with Cybill Shepherd (playing her son), Mario Van Peebles and Wesley Snipes in the USA Network film HARD LUCK. Mike also teaches CORE Acting in Providence, hosts the Public Access Show The Mike Messier Show and is the writer of Schtickman , a previous BFN entry.

Justin Milaski is a local filmmaker that focuses mainly on sketch comedy. He also has trouble writing more than one sentence about himself.

Crosby Tatum is a Producer/Director/Writer/Editor from Boston, MA. Crosby is also the Co-Founder/Executive Producer of Triceptus Studios alongside his partner and Co-Producer/Director/Creator, Jay Holland.

Jonathan Paula
is an Emerson College graduate with a BA in Television Production & Radio Broadcasting, today he is a YouTube celebrity known for his hit web series he produces and edits, "Is It A Good Idea To Microwave This?" - a bi-weekly home-experiment based comedy show hosted by Jory Caron.

Jonah David is currently a senior at Newton South High School. He has a passion for film, theatre, and music, and hopes to continue these art forms in college.

Frederick Shanahan is the co-writer, co-director and editor of Refract, which was his thesis film at Boston University. He currently works as a freelance film and video editor in Boston, MA.

Tim Cawley comes from an ad agency background. His first film, Well-Founded Concerns, debuted at the Independent Film Festival of Boston, had its international premiere at Locarno 2008, and recently won Best Short Film at Sci-Fi London. Big Day of Fishing is his follow-up.

Michele Meek is an award-winning writer and filmmaker whose films have shown at Woods Hole Film Festival, the Rhode Island International Film Festival, among others. In addition, she is the founder of
NewEnglandFilm.com and currently the publisher of The Independent magazine.

Jay Giannone is an actor from the Old Harbor Projects in South Boston who has been cast in recent films such as What Doesn't Kill You, Gone Baby Gone, The Game Plan, and The Departed. Jay is a self-taught, hands on filmmaker with pure passion and drive. He wrote, produced, directed, and plays the lead in Diamond in the Rough.

Jarrod Courtemanche is part of Mindbeside Films where they view filmmaking as the culmination of all art forms into one medium. We find filmmaking to be as challenging as it is rewarding. It's what we like to call 'serious fun!'

Beth Healy is an investigative reporter at The Boston Globe. A Boston native, she is a new film maker and interested in documentaries.

20 American Dollars, LLC is a small, independent local film company owned by two women: Anne Continelli and Deb Malone. In addition to making short comedy films, they are the creators of a new online comedy series, "Is That Yours?", based on the award-winning 2008 48 hour entry showing at this festival

David Garfield
is a local film producer, writer, director and actor; who has been re-inventing the art of film production attempting to blur the lines between low budget and commercial film since 2004. Shooting in uncompressed 4:4:4 RAW 35mm footage from 2007 through 2009 he has lovingly coddled together his first SAG Signatory feature film utlizing local New England talent.

Shane D. Rymer is an American Filmmaker with a multi-disciplinary background in the arts, architecture, design and music. He has written, directed, and composed the music for 5 short films and is currently in Post-Production on his debut feature film, The Intensive.

With a burning passion to take the audience beyond the ordinary film experience, Director, Cinematographer, Editor, Visual Artist, and Actor,
John Hartman invites audiences to explore the groovy and mystic realms of independent film.

Arnon Shorr is not only a product of the Boston film scene, but a fan of the creativity and entrepreneurial drive that makes Massachusetts such a great place to make movies. Although he currently lives in Baltimore and aims for the West Coast, Arnon can’t imagine a future without more of his films shot in what will always be his home state.

Charlie Anderson
was born and raised in Indiana. After spending a year in Hollywood as an actor‹igniting the far background in productions such as Beverly Hills 90210, Murphy Brown, and Xzibit¹s music video, 'What U See Is What U Get', Charlie enrolled in Boston University¹s graduate Film Production program where he is now working on his thesis film, All Day Yeah.

Andrea Lyman, Andrea Lyman, SAG actor and singer, makes her debut as a producer with the short comedy film, THE DONOR. It was pure pleasure to work on both sides of the camera in this film, and I have continued this with other films.

Paul Villanova is a local filmmaker operating out of Cambridge, Massachusetts who has directed many shorts, including tonight¹s Hurley Brothers sketches, and two short features including The Dead Wind which was accepted to the 2007 Boston Film and Video Festival.

Peter Bohush is part of the Harvard Square Scriptwriters, New England's oldest and most successful screenwriter's network, offering script consulting, development, and review services.

Cindy S. Bishop has been a Producer/Camera Operator in the New England and New York area for several years. Although she enjoys working in both broadcast and film, her passion is the indie feature, both fiction and non-fiction. Her indie feature credits include Tickling Leo (2008 Davidson, Masterson), Showgirls (2009 C. Fitz), and The Intensive (2009 Rymer, Trombino, Bishop) all hitting the festival circuit in the coming season.

Leo Kei Angelos is an independent filmmaker and freelance digital cinematographer with a passion for action.  He has been described as somewhat of a child born from the marriage of Tim Burton and Jackie Chan.


Kara Nasdor Jones is an artist interested in exploring serious themes and issues in her work by using animation because it is sort of unexpecte.

Before you were born, Justin Fielding attended NYU's Intensive Summer Film Workshop. Years later, he co-wrote his first feature script and began making short films with a talented group of regular collaborators at Castparty Productions. He's directed several sad, little comedies as well as documentaries that include the award-winning "Dwaine's Big Game." Having made numerous films in timed competitions such as the 48 Hour Film Project, he decided to apply extreme run-and-gun techniques to making his first feature-length film. In two weeks in the summer of 2008, he and team conceived, shot, and rough-cut "The Observer," the story of a man with broken memories of a fateful day at a diner. Boston Film Night is the world premiere of "The Observer -- Director's Cut" (2009). He has two ultra-low budget films in pre-production: a slacker comedy and a musical.
